Sephra began selling commercial chocolate fountains in 2003 and quickly upset the existing market by introducing units with sleeker designs, better features, and higher-quality components.
Shortly thereafter, Sephra contracted with Belgian chocolatier Callebaut to make their own line of chocolate fondue specially formulated for chocolate fountains. This new breed of couverture chocolate was the first which required no additives to flow smoothly through a fountain. In 2005, Sephra was one of the first to hit the market with personal-use, home chocolate fountains. Sephra remains a chocolate fountain industry leader worldwide.
